Email list growth

How to Grow Your Email List with a Quiz (Even If You're Not Techy)

People love learning something about themselves. That's why a good quiz is one of the easiest ways to turn a casual follower into someone on your email list. Here's how it works, start to finish.

1. Pick a question your audience already asks

The best quizzes answer something people wonder about anyway. What's my style? What's holding me back? Which product is right for me?

If you sell candles, it might be "What's your cozy season scent?" If you're a coach, it might be "What's your burnout pattern?"

2. Keep it short

Eight to ten questions is the sweet spot. Long enough to feel real, short enough that people finish. Four result types is plenty.

3. Make the results worth sharing

Write each result like a small mirror: what this pattern looks like, why it makes sense, and one gentle next step. If it feels true, people screenshot it and send it to friends.

4. Ask for the email right before the result

After the last question, ask for an email to see the result. Since they're already invested, most people say yes. Be honest about what they'll get from you after.

5. Connect it to your next step

Every result should point somewhere: a product, a freebie, a booking link. That's how a fun quiz quietly becomes your best salesperson.

See one in action

Every quiz on this site was built this way. Take one to see how it feels from the other side, and if you'd like one for your business, I can build it for you.
